How to Reset All Squads & Updates in FIFA 23

As any soccer season progresses, the individual stats of every player will change. Whether it be their accuracy, shots on goal, or successful passes, someone somewhere is keeping track and updating everything in real-time. It might sound like a dream job for a soccer fan, but it is actually an incredibly intricate process that likely has some amount of automation behind it. Either way, the information that gets changed doesn’t just have an effect on your fantasy soccer team, it also has a pretty tangible effect on the FIFA video game series.

Ever since FIFA entered the modern age on internet-connected consoles, the game has made use of this feature by taking those updated stats throughout the year and applying it to its own roster of players in the game. This is yet another part of the FIFA series’ dedication to a realistic soccer simulation, making sure even the stats of all of the players in the game are accurate down to the week.

You can rest assured that if your console stays connected and your copy of FIFA remains up to date, you will always have the latest stats and performance for all of your characters. But, what if you don’t want that hyper-accurate information? What if, for some reason, you want to play with the default, blank-slate versions of all of the players in the game’s roster?

Well, there is a way to manage this in the latest entry of the game, FIFA 23. If you want to bypass, delete, and reset all of your players and squads in the game, here is the process you must follow.

First, you’re going to want to go to the Home menu. From there, you should go to the Customize page, then to Edit Teams. On this page, you will find an option that says Reset All Squads. Selecting this option will delete all of your transfers, live updates, and team sheet tweaks. All of the squads and players in the game will be in a default state as if you never connected your game to the internet.

Why this option is there is unclear, but at least it’s there for someone who might want to use it.
