How to Change Kit Numbers in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team

The game of soccer is a wonderfully thrilling sport, and one that is shared worldwide. Somehow, soccer (or football in some places) seems to be a universal language, easily understood by all regardless of where they come from. Whether you’ve been a soccer fan all your life or you’re just getting into it, you’ve probably crossed paths with the FIFA video game series. It releases every single year, and it is consistently the best soccer game available on the market thanks to its dedication to realism.

The latest release, FIFA 23, is the best one yet. It has a ton of brand-new features, plenty of fresh game modes, and all of the incremental improvements and fixes you would expect from the series. However, it is one of the returning game modes that will have most players dumping hours and hours into the game.

That game mode is FIFA Ultimate Team. In it, players will put together their very own dream team and compete against other powerful teams. With your own skillful direction and the hopeful synergy of your squad, you can take the team to the very top of the FIFA Championships.

One thing every player will need before they can get started is a kit number. This is the number that appears on the selected player’s shirt, and it quickly becomes their identifier. If you take no action, the game will automatically assign a randomized kit number to your players.

However, if you want a more hands-on approach and would like to better customize your squad, then you can even select the kit number for each of your players individually! The process for doing this is really quite simple.

What you’ll want to do is first go to your squad page. You’ll be presented with various pieces of information about your team. Then you can press L2 on PlayStation, or LT on Xbox to bring up the Squad Actions menu. At the bottom of this sub-menu is the Kit Numbers option.

Once you enter that menu, you’ll be able to select any player and assign them a number from 1 to 99. If you double assign a number, no need to worry, the game will automatically give the other player a new number.
