Switching players is key when it comes to playing optimally in FIFA 23. Although the AI has improved greatly over the years, it still lacks the proper responses in tough situations. Knowing how to switch players is therefore crucial, and it has become even easier with the new switching feature in FIFA 23. Here is everything you need to know about switching players in a game.
HOW TO SWITCH PLAYERS in FIFA 23
- There are two ways to switch players in FIFA 23.
- First, you can press L1 on PS4 & PS5 or LB on Xbox One & Series X|S to switch to the closest available player. The player you’re going to switch to is indicated by a yellow marker over their heads.
- Second, you can also use the Right Stick to switch players. However, the second method isn’t too intuitive, and most players prefer to use L1/LB instead. It’s supposed to give you better control over your switches, but the feature failed to live up to its expectations.
- However, in FIFA 23, aiming with the Right Stick has become a bit easier. If you hold the Right Stick in a specific direction, a white line extends out from your player and you will switch to the first player touched by that line.
