FIFA 23 – How to Raise Player Chemistry
FIFA 23 has finally replaced the age-old Chemistry system with a new and more flexible set of features. These changes will allow you to be more flexible and creative with your players. The system is more forgiving than before when it comes to crafting squads, allowing you to try out more players without incurring any drawbacks. Let’s discuss how you can increase player chemistry in this brand-new system.
HOW DO I RAISE PLAYER CHEMISTRY IN FIFA 23?
- New chemistry earning system – In your Starting XI, by having players of the same League, Nationality/Region and Club, you can now earn up to 3 Chemistry Points. Here is the list of all the point thresholds at launch:
1 Chemistry Point | 2 Chemistry Points | 3 Chemistry Points | |
Nationality/Region | 2 Players | 5 Players | 8 Players |
Club | 2 Players | 4 Players | 7 Players |
League | 3 Players | 5 Players | 8 Players |
- Removal of Position links – Players can now link, no matter where they are on the pitch. Chemistry is now independent of any positions, and the concept of positional links have been completely removed.
- Introduction of preferred positions – Players now have alternate and preferred positions. Which means, they will only earn Chemistry points if they play in their preferred positions and the same applies to other players’ chemistry.
- No more low chemistry penalty – Previously low Chemistry impacted negatively on players’ attributes. However, in FIFA 23, Chemistry no longer affects attributes. So even if you have low to no chemistry, you’ll have your item attributes to back you up.
- Goodbye squad chemistry – FIFA 23 focuses on individuals rather than squads when it comes to chemistry. The concept of squad chemistry is no more. You now have the option to test out more individual players without having to worry about low chemistry.
- No Loyalty system – The Loyalty system has also been removed from FIFA 23.
- Manager Bonus – If a player shares the same League or Country/Region as the manager, they will receive one Chemistry point. Not applicable if they already have 3 Chemistry points.
HOW WILL THE NEW FIFA 23 CHEMISTRY UPDATE AFFECT CHEMISTRY STYLES?
- Since players can now easily earn more chemistry than before, some of the boosts offered by chemistry styles have been altered/tweaked to balance the game. For instance, Basic Chemistry now only grants +4 instead of +5 boosts. Similarly, Shadow Chemistry which used to give +10 boost to Acceleration and Sprint Speed now only gives +8 boosts.
The Chemistry change is a breath of fresh air for FIFA 23. It facilitates diverse team compositions by letting you choose from a wider variety of players. It’s a bold step, but at first glance, the change is obviously for the better.
