Crusader Kings III – Character Education
Picking a Path: Between ages 6 to 9, youngsters can be assigned an Education Focus. Think of it as choosing a major, but for medieval tots. This choice sets them up for one particular Skill.
Graduation Day: Once they hit adulthood, they earn an education trait. The quality of this trait? Well, that’s based on how well the kid’s inherent traits vibed with the chosen Education Focus. And don’t forget the Guardian’s influence – their skills and education traits matter big time.
Guardian Influence: Got a Guardian from a different cultural or religious background? No biggie. But when assigning the Guardian, you gotta choose: should the kid be brought up in their parent’s way or the Guardian’s? And here’s a twist: the kiddo might just pick up the Guardian’s personality traits. Beware of those sneaky Guardians with the Witch trait or secret; they could introduce your heir to the world of witchcraft.
Guardian-Ward Bond: It’s not all about lessons and tutoring. Guardians and their Wards have a mutual +15 bump in Opinion. They’re like medieval buddies, but with more responsibility.
So, in the intricate dance of CK3 character growth, choosing the right Education Focus and Guardian can set a character on the path to greatness… or not-so-greatness. Choose wisely!
