FIFA 23: How to Use Player Lock
EA SPORTS first introduced the Player Lock feature in FIFA 21, and since then, there have been numerous approaches to effectively utilizing this advanced feature. In this guide, we will explain how to use Player Lock in FIFA 23.
How to Use Player Lock in FIFA 23
To use Player Lock, press R3/RS and then select a player with the right stick. You can now freely move the selected player while not in possession of the ball. Take advantage of the resulting gap and move a quicker player directly to the goal. On the other hand players with a strong shot will allow you to finish with a green time finish at the edge of the box. If your opponent does not react to your initial run, simply leave your player on the outside and send him down the line. You can then enter the penalty area from the outside.
Note that while the Player Lock is primarily used on offense, it can also be very effective on defense.
That’s all you need to know to use this feature in FIFA 23. If you want to learn more advanced techniques and moves, be sure to check out our other FIFA 23 guides.
