At first glance, The Cycle may seem straightforward, but its rapid pace leaves little room for strategizing during skirmishes, making in-depth knowledge crucial. The game features both PvP and PvE contracts played over 20-minute matches. To climb the leaderboard, players must complete both types of contracts.

Don’t Engage in Multiple Fights

Monsters aren’t much of a problem, and you can defeat them with relative ease. However, the real challenge arises when other players enter the scene. Engaging in close combat with monsters while simultaneously fighting a long-range gun battle with other players is a recipe for disaster. It’s best to steer clear of such situations whenever possible. Wait a bit after a player has passed by, let them move on, and then tackle the monsters.

Fulfill Contracts

The Cycle emphasizes the completion of various contracts while battling monsters and other players. The actions needed to fulfill these contracts are marked on the world map. Drilling for Veltecite is one such action. Upon completion, the raw material becomes available, allowing you to finish the contract and earn valuable credits. The map displays multiple contracts simultaneously, so you can choose the one that best aligns with your objectives.

Choose the Right Gear

At the game’s outset, each player starts with just a handgun. As you accumulate credits, you can purchase new equipment such as assault rifles and special abilities. Choose equipment based on your preferred playstyle – if you excel at long-range combat, for instance, opt for a sniper rifle. Carrying multiple weapons may be tempting, particularly if they can eliminate an opponent in seconds. However, this approach can be costly, at 800 credits per weapon. If you have enough credits, investing in multiple weapons may make defeating enemies much easier.

Team Play

Speed is crucial in The Cycle, but making a mistake can have severe consequences. Therefore, it’s advisable to play your first matches as part of a group, ideally in a four-person squad. Observing your teammates’ movements will help you learn to play quickly. As part of an experienced team, you can pick up valuable pointers and better handle encounters with other players.

Hone Your Aim

Aiming is a critical skill in any shooter game, including The Cycle. A superior aim will typically result in victory during gunfights, allowing you to continue battling. To improve your aim, invest time in the game and concentrate on this specific skill. Learn each weapon’s recoil pattern to adjust your aim while firing. Focus on targeting the heads of opposing players, as headshots inflict more damage and eliminate enemies faster, which is vital in The Cycle.

Utilize the Minimap

The minimap outlines the area surrounding your character, indicating accessible and off-limit zones and your teammates’ locations. Always monitor the minimap to identify potential threats and attack opportunities. On the battlefield, the minimap is your greatest ally, so practice shifting your gaze between your path and the minimap to keep your surroundings clear of enemies.
