You cannot build a team without knowing how to buy and transfer players. Since the FUT transfer market has undergone quite a few changes in FIFA 23, we thought you should know about them before starting to buy new players. So, let’s get started.
HOW TO BUY & TRANSFER PLAYERS IN FIFA 23
- For the first time, platforms and consoles will be connected via crossplay right from day one. In other words, all the different platforms will also have a shared FUT transfer market. The concept of different transfer markets is no more, except for a few exceptions.
- The FIFA 23 transfer will now be divided into two parts.
One market will be shared by PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Stadia.
The PC and the Switch each have a different transfer market of their own.
- Moreover, the transfer market is not dependent on crossplay settings. In other words, the transfer market will remain open even if you turn off crossplay. It’s not optional. Besides the PC and Switch, all the consoles will share a common market.
HOW TO BUY & TRANSFER PLAYERS IN CAREER MODE
- Scouts will suggest a default bid amount in their reports for that player. You should scout a player before buying/loaning them. Scouting reveals whether the player actually wants to join your club as well as their transfer fee.
- After scouting, you can buy, loan, delegate to buy, or delegate to loan the player.
- Select the player you want to buy in the Transfer Hub and choose Delegate. Now specify to your assistant the amount you want to bid for that player.
- You can activate your assistant by pressing X on PS4 & PS5 or A on Xbox One and Series X|S.
- They will usually respond with a mutually beneficial offer within 6 days. You will be notified via email once the offer arrives.
- Go to the Transfer Hub once again and select the player. You can accept the offer, reject it, or negotiate for a better deal.
- Once you’re satisfied with the offer, accept it. Delegate the contract negotiations to your assistant and set a wage limit for the player. You can only adjust their wages, but not their signing-on fees and other fees.
HOW TO BUY & TRANSFER PLAYERS IN THE ULTIMATE TEAM
- Go to the FUT Home Menu > Transfers > Transfer Market.
- Use filters to narrow down your search.
- The simplest way to search for a player is to type in their names and prices. That way, you can make sure to get results and cards within your budget.
- Once you’re satisfied, make the purchase, and you’re good to go.
