Dribble Handoff Pass in NBA 2K22

To execute this pass, aim the Left Stick toward your intended teammate and hold the circle or B button on your controller. This action hands the ball off to your teammate. Even if they don’t immediately receive the pass, it gives them a running start into the lane. Furthermore, the two-man action could cause the chasing defender to get caught in traffic, creating an advantage for your team.

Positioning a ball-handler near a teammate unlocks a variety of options. It enables a quick, short-distance pass to a player who is usually moving towards the ball and anticipating the pass. Consequently, it becomes much harder for the defending team to deny the ball. Both players can execute the action fluidly: the ball-handler is able to perform the handoff mid-dribble, while the teammate can accept the handoff on the run. Ultimately, the initial ball-handler can employ a screen or their own body to disrupt the defense, benefiting either themselves or their teammate.
