How to Throw a Bounce Pass

In a crowded area, the jump pass is a short pass that allows the player to find a teammate. The height of the ball makes it difficult for opponents to reach and intercept it.

To throw a bounce pass, press Circle on the PlayStation 4 & 5, B on the Xbox One & Series X I S, or A on the Nintendo Switch. Use it to get by longer-reaching opponents. Pass over taller opponents who may snare lower passes out of the air with this one. The bounce pass is best suited for situations when the player with the ball is being guarded closely and the teammate they want to pass it to is traveling toward the basket since it can travel quickly past defenders with less of a chance of being stolen.
