Mad World: Age of Darkness is an upcoming free-to-play top-down Korean MMORPG developed by Jandisoft, featuring a unique blend of engaging PvE and PvP content and character customization options. Here are some essential tips for beginners to get a better start in Mad World: Age of Darkness:

• Full-Screen Mode: To fully immerse yourself in the game & remove pesky bars at the top and bottom of your screen, press the F11 key to enable full-screen mode.

• Storage Keeper: The storage keeper is an invaluable NPC that helps you manage your limited inventory space. You can deposit materials and items into the storage, which is linked across all chapters, allowing you to access it from any location.

• Moth Fast Travel System: Use the moth system to quickly travel between different areas and story missions. Access it by clicking the purple moth button or opening the world map with ‘N‘. The moth fast travel system has a limited number of uses, but it recharges over time.

• Stat Points and Resetting: Upon leveling up for the first time, you’ll receive stat points to allocate to your character’s attributes. Remember, you can reset these points for free until you reach level 50 by clicking the icon with the two circular arrows.

• Ethelweiss Plant: Gather Ethelweiss plants to temporarily increase your movement speed by 50%. Only the green Ethelweiss plants provide this boost, so be mindful when gathering.

• Customize Controls: If you’re not comfortable with the default controls, press O to access the controls menu & adjust them according to your preferences. You can choose from three preset control schemes to play the game.

• Gathering Materials and Crafting: Gathering materials such as ores and wood is essential for crafting powerful gear. However, a more efficient way to obtain these materials is by dismantling equipment found in the game in exchange for a small gold fee.

• Adventure Chronicles: Early in the game, you’ll be introduced to Adventure Chronicles. These achievements play an important role later on, so keep them in mind and complete them for valuable rewards.

• Unlocking & Upgrading Spells: As you progress through the main story mission, you’ll unlock new spells. Each spell has levels, and the higher the level, the more damage the skill does. A vendor near campsite leader Julie sells level 3 skills. Ensure you purchase the correct skill for your chosen weapon, as there are similar skills for one-handed and two-handed weapons.

• Mad Pass: The Mad Pass is a hidden battle pass that offers daily and weekly missions for bonus experience points and useful items such as gems, food, potions, and source memories. You can find it in the upper left corner of the screen, next to the cash shop.

• Hook Currency: As mentioned earlier, completing Adventure Chronicles allows you to gain a useful currency called Hook. This currency can be used to purchase various source stones for skills from a vendor. To earn Hook, complete daily missions or bring your completed Adventure Chronicles to Wagoner Esto, who will reward you for your efforts.
