Armor
- Your character can equip armor in the Head, Chest, Hands, Legs, and Feet slots.
- You will always gain armor for empty slots that need to be filled.
- Once all slots are filled, any extra armor drops will enhance the stats of your current armor once the “Armor Enhancing” function is unlocked.
- Once Increased Stats are unlocked, armor can have naturally increased stats, denoted by “+x” after their names.
- This will randomly increase the amount of one or more stats already present on the item.
- Armor is guaranteed to drop from Elite and Boss enemies. It also has a small chance to drop from normal enemies.
Rarities
- Armor can drop in the following rarities: Common, Exceptional, Ancient, and Unique.
- Except for Common, all other rarities must be unlocked separately.
- Common armor rolls with three stats:
The first stat is usually a fixed All Resistance stat tied to the armor’s weight class.
The rest are rolled from a pool specific to the set to which the armor belongs.
- Exceptional armor is similar but also rolls with an extra Exceptional Stat, which is generally more powerful than common stats.
- Ancient armor improves on the previous rarity by adding a Random Passive Ability. This Passive Ability ignores proficiency requirements, allowing your character to use abilities that would normally be restricted.
Resistances
- Resistances reduce the amount of damage taken from attacks of the corresponding damage type. Resistances from different sources are added together, but the total amount of resistance a character can have against an attack type is capped at 75%.
Example:
- Your character is being dealt 100 Primal Damage, and has 25% All Resistance and 10% Primal Resistance.
- Damage(100) * (1 – (AllResistance(0.25) + PrimalResistance(0.1))) = Damage(65)
- The Resistance Piercing Chance stat gives an attack a chance to ignore the target’s damage reduction caused by resistances. Very few, if any, enemy characters have this stat.
- All Elite enemies have 25% All Resistance, and all Boss enemies have 50% All Resistance on top of their other resistances, making it very important to have a certain amount of Resistance Piercing Chance when fighting tougher enemies.
