Once Human: Beginner Survival Tips Guide

Hey Survivor game fanatics. Check out this quick but super useful guide to get better at Once Human. We get it: The world after everything’s gone to hell is rough, but these tips will have you ruling the roost in no time. Let’s dive into some important stuff to help you stay alive & kick butt…

Fixing Weapons

In Once Human, you can’t fix weapons or armor you find… You can repair things you make yourself. So, while stuff you find might have cool extras, it won’t last. Learn to make and change your own gear so you can keep it working well and not lose a strong item.

Water and Energy

Keep Your Water Bottle Full: Don’t let your thirst meter go down. If it drops, you’ll move slower and take forever to get your energy back. Always have water with you and drink it often to stay in good shape.

Magic Boxes

Blueprint Bonanza: Magic boxes are where you’ll find blueprints. These boxes are all over big buildings or near towns, but not close to the rift anchor. Keep looking around to grab these useful things.

Prim Stuff and Starchrom

You need Starchrom to gamble for blueprints at wish machines. Prim Wares drop Starchrom and have tough armor. To beat them, use weapons that go boom like rocket launchers or claymores.

Keeping Your Brain Happy

Mood Boosters: When you’re not feeling right, it messes up how you play. To fix this, make sanity candy with sugar boiled water, and beets, or eat cooked mushrooms from rotten food compost. These fill your stomach and help your mind, giving you an edge for a while.

Stuff to Heal You

You can make Activators, and they heal half your health so they’re super important. Adrenaline shots bring you back to life, but you need rare Stardust to make them. Use campsites as places to respawn to save stuff when you’re far from your base.

Crossbow Perks

Arrows You Can Use Again: The crossbow is a smart pick because you can get arrows back from bad guys. It’s awesome for saving resources when you start out. Guns work well, but the crossbow’s reusable ammo gives you a leg up.

Camera View

Look Further: Change how far away the camera is in the game settings to see more around you. This bigger view helps you know what’s going on and makes playing more fun.

Fuel for Vehicles

Side Road Finds: You can often find fuel for your bike or car in trunks on quieter roads. Avoid highways and look on side roads to keep your rides going.

Resonant Filter Defenses

Base Upgrades: Before you use the special filter to clean Stardust, make sure to strengthen your base with stone. Stone buildings can handle enemy attacks better. These attacks can get pretty fierce, so load up on bullets and have a good gun ready to protect your base.

Setting Up Your Home

Make your home to keep bad guys out. Switch to stone walls as soon as you can and put defenses in smart spots to fight off attacks. Shield your crafting spots and storage to keep your base working during raids.

Stock Up

Always have lots of important things like charcoal, copper, and wood. You need these to make and fix your gear and base. Keep gathering these materials so you don’t run out.

Exploring

Don’t rush when you’re looking around settlements and other places. You can find hidden stuff in spots you wouldn’t expect. Take your time and look in every nook and cranny to get the most loot possible.

Fighting Tips

Use what’s around you to win fights. Shoot bad guys from far away and switch to close combat if they get near. Always have a Plan B and be ready to run if things get too crazy.

Keeping Your Stuff Organized

Keep your stuff in order so it’s not a mess. Throw out junk you don’t need and keep important things easy to grab… This way, you can find your gear and supplies fast when you need them.
