Dungeonborne Beginner’s Guide: Essential Tips for New Players
Dungeonborne takes you on a wild ride through creepy dungeons packed with tough monsters, hidden loot, and tricky quests. It doesn’t matter if you’re a pro or just starting out—there’s always cool stuff to find and new ways to beat the game. So, I put together this handbook to give you the lowdown on how to zip through dungeons like a pro and get heaps out of playing…
Crank Up Your Settings
Changing a few things in your settings can make the game more fun and easier to play.
Frame Rate Limit
Set your frame rate limit to match what your system can handle. A higher frame rate means the game runs smoother.
Field of View (FOV)
Boost your FOV for a bigger view around you. This helps you spot bad guys and find your way in the dungeons.
Brightness
Turn up the brightness to see better in those creepy dark spots.
It’s way easier when you can tell where you’re going!!
Get Good at Daily Quests
Daily quests are awesome for getting rewards, but sometimes you get ones you’re not super excited about.
Changing Up Quests
If you’re stuck with a quest you’re not into (like “Take out 10 baddies as a Priest” when you don’t wanna play Priest), you can switch it up once a day. So, use that swap and grab a quest that’s more your thing.
Getting the Most Out of Your Ore
Ore is key to making your gear better.
Here’s how to use it well;
Visiting The Alchemist
- Turn Green Ore into Blue Ore: Got way too much green stuff? Make it blue.
- Change Blue Ore to Purple Ore: Need the purple stuff? Fix up your blue ore.
This helps when you want to level up your heirlooms or make top-notch gear.
Get the Most Out of Magic Dice
Magic Dice can help you protect your best stuff.
At The Merchant
- Get One Magic Dice For Each Match: Just buy one magic dice at a time. If you buy more you’ll end up wasting them.
- Put Your Best Item in the Magic Dice Slot: This way, you can be sure it’s safe while you’re in the dungeon.
Set Bonuses
Set bonuses can give you some great advantages but people often don’t pay attention to them.
Spotting Set Bonuses
- Look for the Cool Shine: Stuff with set bonuses has a special shine.
- Piling Up Set Bonuses:
You need several pieces with the same set bonus to turn it on. Let’s say an item shows “0 to 2 out of 15.” This means it adds 2 stacks towards the 15 you need to make the bonus work.
Get Matching Gear: Put on enough items with the same set bonus to hit the stack number and turn on the bonus.
What a Set Bonus Looks Like
Some gear might give you random potion effects or flask effects when you hit something without being blocked. These can change how you play so keep your eyes peeled for them!
Using Passive Abilities
Each class has cool special abilities that can give you a leg up in fights.
Getting Passives
- Look at What You Need: Point at the special abilities to see what you gotta do to use them. Like, some might need you to have a certain amount of energy.
- Matching Stuff: Put on gear that makes the stats you need for these abilities stronger.
Why Passives Matter
These bonuses can make a big difference when you’re fighting.
Every character’s special abilities are made for different ways of playing so pick the ones that work best with how you like to fight.
Making Weapons and Armor Better
To get further in the game, you need to make your gear stronger.
Mithril Order Levels
- Weapon Upgrades: You’ll get green weapon upgrades when you reach Mithril Order level 2.
- Armor Upgrades: Green armor upgrades become available at level 4.
Random Rolls
- Re-roll Stats: Your item’s stats can change every time you upgrade or move it. Keep trying until you get the stats you want. For example, you might keep re-rolling a 2% physical damage bonus to get something better, like 4% elemental damage.
Show Affix Range to Assess Gear Better
Knowing how good your gear can be helps you make smarter choices.
How to Turn On Show Affix Range
- Settings and Preferences: Switch on “Show Affix Range” to check out the highest and lowest numbers for each gear stat.
- Assessing Gear Quality: This lets you work out how good your gear’s stats are so you can tell if you’ve got the top stuff.
