How to Access FIFA 23 Early Access
The release of games that offer an early access option with pre-order can often be confusing. Steam lists the official release date, in this case, 1 October 2022, whilst giving no clarification around early-access.
A lot of games get around this but listing the game for release on the early-access and then using their own accounts verifying what edition of the game you have to note whether you have early-access or not. EA has not done this and instead have opted for a more convoluted method.
How to Play Early
- Pre-Load the game on Steam.
Pre-load has been available for a day or two at this point, you must ensure it has been pre-loaded in order for this method to work.
- Once Pre-loaded you need to boot up Origin.
Origin is EA’s platform and every EA game you purchase on Steam is also linked to your Origin account, if you haven’t already linked your accounts, install any EA game, if you want you can install Apex Legends (free game) and it will automatically link it for you.
- Locate FIFA 23 in your Origin account. Go to My Game Library on the left side of the screen, and find FIFA 23.
- Click on FIFA 23 and press Play. If the game hasn’t come out by the time you read this guide, when you click on FIFA 23 it will show you a windows release date for your timezone.
Conclusion
This should work, it has worked for previous EA releases, this should either launch the game through Steam or failing that through Origin for the time being (same account, same progress).
