Showdowns

During the battle, sometimes Showdown minigames will occur. By winning Showdowns, you can deal great damage to your opponent as well as fill your Kinship Gauge by a large amount.

Power Clash

This Showdown requires you to press A repeatedly for a short period of time. The line in the middle of the screen will move closer to either your side or your opponent’s side, depending on how many times you press A. You will win if the line is closer to your opponent’s side at the conclusion of this Showdown.

Air Showdown

This Showdown will occur if your Monstie and the opposing monster are both able to fly. Press LB and RB alternately during the specified time period. The one who presses them the greatest number of times will win.

Breath Blast

This Showdown will occur if your Monstie and the opposing monster are both able to use breath attacks. The one who rotates RS the most during the specified time period will win.
