How to Find Regens in FIFA 22

A regen is a player who is unique to your save and is imported to replace a retiring player. When first imported, the regen will be between the ages of 16 and 21. The new player will have the same primary and secondary positions, nationality, and potential as the retiring player. However, the regen’s name, height, weight, preferred foot skill move, weak foot set, and stats distribution will be randomly generated. This could indicate that the regen has many potentials, but they aren’t usable in-game by default because they lack a specific category of stats.

When you’re ready to start searching for regens, the first step is to find players who will be retiring at the end of the season. For the best results, especially early on in the save, narrow down your search to older players who had a high overall at some point in your career mode. While this will vary by save, some high overall players who occasionally retire in season 1 include Buffon, Ibrahimovic, and Iniesta. While in In transfer Tab, you can either manually search for the player by name or apply the filter and scroll through the list of players to see who is retiring.

We recommend keeping a running list to keep track of which players are retiring, as you may not be able to add them to your transfer shortlist, and even if you can, they will disappear once they retire.
