Crusader Kings III – How to Find Character IDs

In CK3, each character has their very own unique number tagged to them, kinda like their own personal ID. We call this the character ID. When you’re looking to use commands that need a specific shout-out to a particular character, you’ll need this number. For example, making two characters become buddies with the add_friend command? You gotta have their character IDs ready.

How to Spot Character IDs

Ready to find these character IDs? No sweat. Just hit up the console and type in:

debug_mode

Once you’ve done that, just hover over any character in the game. Their character ID will pop up in the tooltip, ready for you to use in whatever command you’ve got in mind.
