The WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic expansion is only a few days away from launch. As gamers are grinding the levels and preparing themselves for the massive content drop, newer/returning players usually have a difficult time leveling up. There is a lot to do in WoW and not having a to-do list can be frustrating. But fret not, because these 8 tips will help you prepare for the WotLK expansion.
1. Why is speed important for leveling?
- If you’re a dedicated WoW player, speed-increasing boot enchants are a must-have, especially since all items that increase the speed of your mounts, such as the Riding Crop, stop working after level 70.
- It takes about 40 hours to level from 70 to 80. (4 hours per level). So, in the grand scheme of things, enchantments like Cat’s Swiftness or Boar’s Speed are extremely important.
2. Injectors vs. Healing Potions: Which is better?
- A Healing Potion Injector is a single item that holds 20 health potions, allowing you to carry four times as many in the same amount of bag space. You’ll be able to grind through more levels and gain more experience without having to replenish your supplies. Also, this item has the same one-minute cooldown as all other healing and mana potions.
- To craft an injector, you’ll need 20 of the relevant potion and 1 mana or health injector kit. Both mana and health injector kits can be crafted by Engineers, but unlike many engineering items, they do not require the profession to use. They are very inexpensive to produce, requiring only 12 Saronite Bars and either 2 Crystallized Water for the mana version or 2 Handful of Cobalt Bolts (approximately 2 Cobalt Bars) for the health version.
- If you’re an aspiring Engineer, use the injector kits to level up when your skill is between 410 and 420. This way, you won’t have to waste gold on items you won’t use or can’t resell.
3. Which items are necessary for consistent DPS?
- Consider investing your extra gold in DPS flasks like the Flask of Pure Death, Flask of Relentless Assault, and Super Wizard Oil. During the pre-patch, the prices usually drop, so stockpile a few to help you score more kills and level faster.
- If you can’t afford flasks, Adamantite Weightstone, Sharpening Stone, and Felsteel Shield Spike are all excellent alternatives that provide a significant DPS boost.

5. Solo leveling vs. Team leveling: Which is faster?
- It’s all a matter of personal taste. Although it is faster to level alone in some cases, it can become tedious.
- Furthermore, because WoW is an MMO and top-tier gameplay requires groups of 5 to 25 players, it’s a good idea to practice while grinding the levels. Consider changing things up a little. For example, level up 3 to 4 times in dungeons or raids before returning to questing for the remaining levels.

6. How to choose/save quests for faster leveling?
- You’d want to accept quests from a single hub’s multiple NPCs (or as nearby as possible). As a result, when you finish them, you can turn them all in at the same time, gaining a massive XP boost all at once.

7. Why is engineering necessary for leveling?
- Engineering is the best profession to max out if leveling is your only priority.Â

- Repair Bot – Bots can sell reagents, buy unwanted goods, and repair gear. They save you a lot of trips to the city and give you more time to get back to work.
- Rocket Boots – The boots give your character a temporary speed boost as well as other benefits like bonus armor and intellect.
- Cloak Parachute – If you’re on a cliff, it’s faster to jump than to descend the same way you came. The parachute slows down your fall by ten seconds. You can reach the ground without losing a single HP if you time it correctly.
- Frag Belt – The Frag Belt allows you to throw a thermal grenade every minute that deals AOE damage to targets within a 3-yard radius and stuns them for 3 seconds.
8. How to get a free mount in Northrend?
- Go to K3 and visit Honest Max to get a free-flying mount.
- You must be at least level 77 to ride this mount, and you can still fly with it if your character hasn’t purchased any flying spells.
- The mount can only be used in Storm Peaks, Sholazar Basin, or Icecrown and increases speed by 150 percent.
