Generator Hacking
The starter ‘Laborer’ ship doesn’t need much power. You can change how hard the generator runs through the device field on the ‘Generator’ button at the pilot’s seat.
To use the Universal Tool, aim at the rim of the button and press [U], then press [Tab] to move your mouse to the fields.
Change the highlighted value from ‘100’ to ‘20’, then push the Generator button to disable the generator. Press it again to turn it back on with the new settings. If done right, the generator should last 5x as long on a single fuel rod.
If you have trouble with batteries losing charge while at full speed, change the value to something higher. This will use slightly more of your fuel rod over time but increase the power output from the generator.
