Finding the perfect spot for your station in a system that fits your needs is super important. Start by checking out the different systems and seeing what they’ve got going on to figure out which one works best for you. Once you’ve picked a system head on over there and use the information panel to plot your course.

Laying the Foundation

Press ‘B‘ to open the build menu and start constructing your Capital Station. You’ll need to choose a name for your station & make sure you have enough credits and materials to kick off the construction. The initial cost of a Capital Station can be around 1.5-1.8 million credits, so ensure you’ve accumulated enough funds from your resource gathering ventures.

Keeping an Eye on Progress

Monitor your station’s construction progress by checking the completion percentage in the Faction menu under Structures. Remember that it might take a while (even over 30-40 minutes) for your station to be fully built… While waiting for your station to complete, you can continue mining, complete missions, or explore other aspects of the game.

When your station hits 100% completion, a cutscene will play, showcasing your shiny new creation. This is an ideal opportunity to relax and appreciate the outcome of your efforts. Go ahead and land on your station to scope it out. At the start, you’re limited to the Command Deck, but don’t sweat it—more areas will open up as you get further in the game and work on those upgrades. Make sure you get to know the Command Deck and what it’s got to offer, ’cause it’s gonna be your go-to spot for running and upgrading your station as you play.

Enhancing Your Station

On the Command Deck, you’ll find a table with various upgrade options for your station, like Medics Barracks, Marketplace, and more. Upgrading will cost space credits and resources, but it’ll give you extra features, defenses, and capabilities.

Invest in defenses for your station early on, such as shields, defense turrets and a fleet of ships to protect it from potential threats. This will help ensure the longevity of your station and prevent enemy factions from attempting to attack or seize it.

Taking Charge

As the boss of your station, you’ll need to manage resources, defenses, and expansions. Do this through the Faction menu under Structures, where you’ll find options to build docks, shields, quarters, and more to improve your station’s functionality and defense.
