Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, plus Yuri’s Revenge? That game’s a classic in the RTS scene… Just dropped on Steam, so it’s easier than ever to snag a copy, all thanks to Electronic Arts (EA) for unlocking their vault & including this hit along with a bunch of other great classics.

Default Keyboard Shortcuts & Hotkeys

General Commands

D: Deploy items or units.

G: Guard the area you’re currently in.

Ctrl + Click: Attack-move towards a target.

Shift + ↑ + Click: Disperse your units quickly.

X: Scatter units to avoid cluster damage.

S: Halt your units’ actions immediately.

Ctrl + Click (on target): Direct your units to fire upon a specific target.

Alt + Click (on location): Move units to a specified spot, regardless of obstacles.

Esc: Access the options menu.

Ctrl + 1 – 9: Group selected units into a team.

1 – 9: Choose a pre-defined team.

1 – 9 then 1 – 9 again: Focus the camera on a team.

A: Ally with another faction.

T: Select all units of a particular type.

Enter: Chat with everyone in multiplayer.

Backspace: Message only your allies.

\: Broadcast a message to all players.

(while typing): Abort your current message.

B + Enter: Mark a location with a beacon; Delete to remove it.

Z + Click on a unit: Set movement waypoints for units.

Space: Jump to the latest event indicated on your radar.

Click on a building then the battlefield to set a rally point.

Advanced Commands

F: Order units to follow a target.

Ctrl/Alt + Click: Guard a specific destination or unit.

Q/W/E/R: Switch between Structures, Defense, Infantry, and Vehicle tabs.

N/M: Navigate through your units one by one.

P: Select all your units at once.

Y: Filter units by their veterancy level.

U: Flip through user interface pages.

Shift + Click on a unit: Add or remove units from your current selection.

H (hold): Re-center the map on your base.

K/L + Click on a structure: Switch to repair or sell mode.

Ctrl + F1/F2/F3/F4: Create location bookmarks for quick navigation.

F1/F2/F3/F4: Jump to a bookmarked location.

F5/F6/F7/F8: Send audio taunts in multiplayer games.
