Ozymandias: Bronze Age Empire Sim: What is Power?

Power is a resource, which you can buy with Wealth or earn from opportunities. Your units project the amount of Power your empire has, into their space and each adjacent one. You can think of it as investment in your military: training, weaponry, optics, etc. The first power you buy is the cheapest, each successive one costs more than the last. The base price is also increased by 1 each time you recruit a new unit. For example, if you have 1 unit, Power costs 5 for 1, 15 for 2 (5+10), and 30 for 3 (5+10+15). However, if you have 6 units, 3 power costs 60 (10+20+30).

How else can I increase power in a hex?

Cities project power into your nearby territory and certain terrains have a defensive bonus. Power technologies increase your power in both friendly and enemy territory. They cost 10 Knowledge plus 5 for each one you already own, multiplied by the level of the technology ie. 1 for the first one in a given terrain, 2 for the second one, and so on.
