You cannot play NBA 2K22 MyCareer if your account does not meet the minimum age requirement. You must be at least 18 years old. If your account is under the required age, you’ll receive an error message. You can resolve this issue by following these steps:
Method 1 (Xbox)
- First, delete your Xbox One account.
- After that, do a power cycle. Meanwhile, verify if your developer/publisher account meets the age requirement.
- Change the birthday information in the problematic account’s settings next.
- Now, you can re-add the account to your Xbox console.
Method 2
- Go to the game menu and scroll down to Connect, which is the last option.
- Enter your age and email address, and that’s it.
- The Connect option is located near the Settings/Features menu.
Method 3 (Clear Cache)
Follow these steps to clear the cache on each platform:
PC
- Start Steam.
- Navigate to Settings and then to Downloads.
- At the bottom, click the “Clear Download Cache” button.
- Select “OK” to confirm.
PS5
- Hold the power button for three seconds to turn off your console. Before going off, the power indicator will blink for a few moments.
- After the console has been turned off, press and hold the power button once again. When you hear the second beep, release it – one beep will sound when you initially press it, and another will sound seven seconds later.
- Connect the controller to the PS5 via a USB connection and hit the PS button.
- Select “Clear System Software Cache” from the menu.
Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S
- To access the “Power Center,” press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your controller.
- Select “Restart Console” from the menu.
- Note: If the system appears to be frozen or the Power Center is unavailable, press and hold the Xbox button on the console’s front for 10 seconds until it shuts off. To restart the console after it shuts down, press the Xbox button on the console again.
