FIFA 22 Career Mode – How to Find Regens
A regen is a player unique to your save and one that’s imported in to replace a retiring player. Upon importing, the regen will be between 16-21 years old. The new player will have the same primary and secondary positions, nationality, and potential as the retiring player. However, it will randomize the regen’s name, height, weight, preferred foot skill move, weak foot set, and stats distribution. This means the regen can have a lot of potential, but they are not usable in-game by default since they lack certain stat categories.
When you’re ready to begin your search for regens, the first thing you want to do is find those players that will be retiring at the end of the season. The best approach early on in the save is to narrow your search down to older players who had a high overall at one point in your career mode. This will vary depending on your save; however, some high overall players who sometimes retire in season 1 include Buffon, Ibrahimovic, and Iniesta. While in the Transfer Tab, you can either search for the player by name or apply the filter and scroll down the list to see who is retiring.
We recommend keeping a running list to remember who exactly is retiring, as you are not always able to add them to your transfer shortlist, and even if you could, they would disappear upon retirement.
