Best AAA Video Games to Come in 2022 and Beyond

Many games were shown at E3 and other conventions, with their unique gameplay ideas, astounding attention to detail, and fun stories. What titles are coming in starting with January 2022? Let’s find out and prepare ourselves for a new, jam-packed gaming calendar that everyone will enjoy.

Gotham Knights

Gotham Knights features four characters from the Batman universe that need to fulfill a unique story related to the Court of Owls. Batman is missing, so you need to take the role of one of these characters and see what happened. There’s no specific date for now aside from a general 2022. Players can level up their characters, but enemies will also level up automatically. They can also explore the city on the Batcycle. During the day, players will occupy the Belfry, which serves as the team’s headquarters and allows them to switch characters and prepare for the next mission by managing progression, and when they leave the Belfry, the game will fast forward to the night.

Hogwarts Legacy

Created by Avalanche Software, this is the first AAA Harry Potter game in quite some time. It will be set in the late 1800s, and it’s an open-world action RPG that’s visually impressive but filled with tremendous stories. “Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart,” according to the game’s official website. After receiving a late acceptance letter to Hogwarts, the player discovers that they can possess and master Ancient Magic. “Only you can decide whether you will protect this secret for the good of all or succumb to the temptation of more sinister magic,” the description reads.

God of War: Ragnarok

The second and final God of War with a Norse setting is arriving in 2022, and the game will bring the story from the first game to a close. Atreus is older, and he and his father end up dealing with a variety of new threats that will require Kratos to brush up on his fighting skills!

There is no indication that God of War Ragnarok will ever be released on PC. That’s not to say it’s impossible (PlayStation exclusives like Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn have both made the transition), but it’s highly unlikely, and it’s even less likely to be released on the same day as the PS4 and PS5 versions. If it does appear on Steam or the Epic Store, it will most likely be at least a year after the PlayStation release.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Since we have a new Avatar movie in late 2022, we will also have Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, an action-adventure game set in this incredible world. It’s a spectacular game with stunning visuals and innovative gameplay, so it’s something you want to have on your radar.

The game’s official website describes it as a “first-person action-adventure” set in an “immersive, open world,” The trailer provides a brief glimpse of this first-person perspective. We also see a Na’Vi riding a mount that doesn’t quite look like a Direhorse, implying that we’ll be able to engage in mounted combat or at the very least traverse Pandora on (kind of) horseback. The world also appears to be inhabited by creatures we’ve seen – and haven’t seen – in the film, so be prepared for some surprises.

Redfall

Redfall was created by Arcane, and it will be an action-adventure game s well as FPS featuring vampires. The gameplay seems to have multiple classes and fast-paced gameplay, not to mention vampires ready to kill you if you stay in their paths. Redfall will feature a diverse lineup of heroes, each with its own set of skills.

The Callisto Protocol

Survival horror lovers will enjoy this one because the game is bringing in the Dead Space vibe and a fascinating, fresh story. It’s a single-player game only, and it’s said to have a very clever, unique narrative. The Callisto Protocol and Dead Space share many conceptual ideas. It takes place in a prison colony on Jupiter’s moon Callisto. The reveal trailer features creepy AI, strange alien monsters, and someone ominously watching a prisoner murdered through security cameras.

Zelda Breath of the Wild 2

According to the latest rumors, a sequel to Zelda Breath of the Wild is rumored to appear in 2022, and while we don’t know specific details, we expect it to arrive by the end of 2022. Nintendo may remain silent until August and possibly until the end of the year. Fans, on the other hand, should stay hopeful that this will not be the case.

A Plague Tale: Requiem

A Plague Tale: Requiem is the second part of A Plague Tale, a game that became a cult hit, despite having a very intricate and rather strange story. The sequel comes with even better visuals and incredible storytelling. The cinematic trailer doesn’t reveal much, but we do hear protagonist Amicia de Rune talking to an unknown man about her brother, Hugo, and how to stop the supernatural rat scourge that plagued our heroes in the first game. Fans will recall that Hugo is cursed with dark magic that is directly related to the plague.

As you can see, there’s no shortage of options when it comes to games appearing in 2022 and beyond. It’s safe to say that we will have many titles to play in 2022; all we have to do is check these out for ourselves and have fun with some high-tier, next-level games!
