Follow these steps to resolve controller/gamepad issues:
How to Make Your Controller Work with Little Nightmares II
Method 1: Configure Controller in Steam
- Launch Steam.
- Click Steam in the top left corner.
- Go to Settings.
- Click on Controller.
- Select “GENERAL CONTROLLER SETTINGS.”
- Check your gaming controller (e.g., PlayStation Configuration Support).
- Click OK and exit the settings.
- Launch the game and check if the controller is working.
When to Plug in the Controller
- Connect the controller before starting Little Nightmares II.
- Avoid plugging it in while the game is launching, as this may cause issues.
Reinstalling the Drivers
- Right-click the Windows Start button.
- Select Device Manager.
- Locate your controller in the device list.
- Right-click the controller and select Uninstall Device.
- Restart your PC with the controller plugged in.
- The drivers should reinstall automatically.
Method 2: Use an Xbox 360 Controller Emulator
- Download the Xbox 360 Controller Emulator from: x360ce.com
- Click “Download for 64-bit games.”
- Supports all joystick versions, including PS4 and Logitech controllers.
- Extract the downloaded file to the Little Nightmares II installation folder.
- Run x360ce_x64.exe from the game folder.
- Click Create.
- Ensure the controller is plugged in.
- Click Next, then Finish.
- Go to the Game Settings tab.
- Click “Apply/Synchronize Settings,” then OK.
- Switch to the Controller 1 tab.
- Click Save.
- You should now be able to play Little Nightmares II with your controller.
