How to Troubleshoot Trains That Aren't Moving or Are Stuck in Sweet Transit

If one or more of your trains is stuck and you’re not sure how to fix this issue, review the following steps to try and solve the problem and get things moving again.

How to Troubleshoot Trains That Aren’t Moving or Are Stuck in Sweet Transit

  • First, check your route and track because that’s where the problem(s) can usually be found. Make sure the train can travel to the desired location without a problem—make sure all track is connected to a station, all signals are facing the right way, all depots are operational, and so on.

  • If there’s no train blocking its path but the train still won’t move, try constructing more signals.

  • Maintaining an efficient rail network relies heavily on signal placement. So ensure that your route isn’t exclusively comprised of chain signals because a train can’t move unless the entire path ahead of it has been reserved. You can divide your rail network into “Signal Blocks” with a train signal in Sweet Transit—remember, multiple trains can share a single track.

  • If multiple trains are stopped behind one another, you probably have too few chain signals on.
