How to Do a Fadeaway in NBA 2K22

There are two different ways to do this, depending on which side of the basket you are on.

Fade Left

Playstation 4 & 5

• Hold L2 to pull back the defender, then while holding L2, take the right analog stick and push it to the left. The tricky part is that you have to fill the shot meter, so once it’s full, you’ll be holding it down while holding it to the right and trying to time it.

Xbox One & Series X I S

• Hold LT to pull back the defender, then take the right analog stick and push it to the left while holding LT. The tricky part is that you have to fill the shot meter, so once it’s full, you’ll be holding it down while holding it to the right and trying to time it.

Fade Right

Playstation 4 & 5

• Hold L2 to pull back the defender, then take the left analog stick and push it to the right while still holding L2. The tricky part is that you have to fill the shot meter, so after it’s full, you’ll have to hold it down while holding it to the left and timing it.

Xbox One & Series X I S

• Hold LT to pull back the defender, then take the left analog stick and push it to the right while still holding LT. The tricky part is that you have to fill the shot meter, so after it’s full, you’ll have to hold it down while holding it to the left and timing it.
