If you’re looking to unlock the computer fast and don’t have Rosa, you can simply go to one of the townies’ houses, click on the signpost on their house to the right, evict them and move in. You need a house of your own to get Moss to let you use his computer to upload/download creations.
Once you move in, sleep for a day, talk to Moss, and the computer should be there so you can use it. (If it’s not there, sleep again, and it should show up on his counter) Don’t worry about eviting people; it won’t hurt your progress, they won’t leave, and you can always move them right back in after you’ve unlocked the computer catalog.
