Cyberpunk 2077 – Keyboard/Mouse Not Working – Issue Fix

If your keyboard or mouse isn’t working properly in the game, here are a few quick fixes you can try:

Run the Game as an Administrator

Right-click on the game’s shortcut or setup file and choose “Run as Administrator.” This ensures the game has all the permissions it needs to run smoothly.

Disconnect Extra Input Devices

Unplug any other devices like controllers or graphics tablets. If you’re using any virtual input devices like x360CE or vJoy, turn those off too. Just keep your keyboard and mouse connected.

Turn Off Mouse Acceleration

This can sometimes cause issues. Here’s how to disable it:

For Windows 10: Press WinKey+R, type control in the Run window, and hit Ok. Then go to Mouse -> Pointer Options and make sure “Enhance pointer precision” is unchecked.

For Windows 8.1 and 7: Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options, and again, uncheck “Enhance pointer precision.”

Disable Touchscreen

If you’re on a tablet PC, connect a keyboard and mouse and temporarily turn off the touchscreen.

Run the Game in Clean Boot Mode

This helps to check if third-party applications are causing the problem. You can start your PC in clean boot mode following the instructions here. Remember to use an account with Administrator privileges.
