Check virus defender permissions

Your virus defender might be blocking the game from writing save files. Whitelist the game within the virus defender.

Check storefront permissions

Your storefront/the game might not have administrative permission to write on disk, meaning the game can’t create save files on the disk. Run the game as administrator.
