Ion Beams & Prisms – Cosmoteer: Starship Architect & Commander

Ion Beams are fixed-direction energy beam weapons that can’t aim but deal high, continuous damage over time.

But if you place an IonPrism in front of an Ion Beam, it can redirect the beam in any direction, such as at an enemy ship or even into another Ion Prism.

Multiple beams can be combined into a single Prism, creating a single larger, more-powerful beam.

To aim a Prism, first exit build mode, select the Prism, and then click the Aim Ion Prism button.

TIP: Combining multiple beams together lowers their total damage output. To maximize the damage of a single beam, always combine exactly two equal-sized beams per prism.
