How to Spin Layup / Spin Dunk

In this guide, you’ll learn how to use spin on your layups to help you avoid defenders.

 

Simply double-tap “X” for Xbox One & Series X I S or “Square” for PS4 & PS5 while driving towards the hoop to perform a spinning layup. The spinning dunk and spin hop have similar steps. Please bear in mind that timing is everything. So you’ll need a lot of practice on the court before you can perform these moves. Spin is less critical than placement, but it can help you not have to be as precise. Just practice layups, flicking your hand/wrist to spin the ball towards the basket.
