Mining Asteroids in Cosmoteer: Starship Architect & Commander

While exploring, you will often find asteroids containing valuable resource deposits.

To mine those asteroids, click the Gather/Salvage/Mine button and then drag a box around the resource deposits in the asteroid you want to mine. Your ship’s crew will automatically mine the resources and store them in your ship.

When zoomed out, the appropriate chemical element symbol will be displayed over any asteroids with untapped resource deposits.

TIP: Many resource deposits will be stuck in rock that is too hard for crew to extract. Build a Mining Laser to extract those resources.
