So, if parts of your game are suddenly giving you the silent treatment, or it’s like playing a weird game of musical chairs with the sound during cutscenes, chances are your audio driver’s throwing a fit. It might be outdated or just acting all wonky. First off, give updating that driver a shot. But if the audio’s still acting shy, switch off that “Windows Sonic for Headphones”. Heard it did wonders for gamers across the globe.

Take a sec to peek at your sound settings in the Control Panel. Sometimes, they get a bit out of whack and you end up catching just bits and pieces of the game’s sounds. A quick look-see and an audio driver update usually sort that out.
