Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Fixing Controller Issues on PC

Having trouble getting your gamepad or joystick to work with Kingdom Come: Deliverance on your PC? This guide will walk you through the steps to get your controller working.

Method 1: Through Steam

  • Open Steam.

  • In the top-left corner, click Steam.

  • Go to Settings.

  • Select Controller.

  • Click the button labeled “GENERAL CONTROLLER SETTING”.

  • Tick the box next to your controller type. For example, choose PlayStation Configuration Support if you’re using a PlayStation controller.

  • Go back to the previous screen and click OK.

  • Start the game and see if your controller is now working.

When to Connect Your Controller

Make sure you plug in your controller before you launch Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Connecting it while the game is starting might cause problems.

Reinstalling Controller Drivers

If the above doesn’t work, try reinstalling your controller drivers:

  • Right-click the Windows Start button.

  • Select Device Manager.

  • Find your controller in the list of devices.

  • Right-click your controller and select Uninstall device.

  • Restart your PC with the controller plugged in. Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers.

Method 2: Using the Xbox 360 Controller Emulator

  • Click the button that says “Download for 64-bit games”.

  • This emulator works with all types of joysticks, including PS4 and Logitech controllers.

  • Run the file named x360ce_x64.exe. You’ll need to place this in the same folder where Kingdom Come: Deliverance is installed.

  • If prompted, click Create.

  • Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file into the Kingdom Come: Deliverance installation folder.

  • Ensure your controller is plugged in.

  • If prompted again, click Create.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Finish.

  • Go to the Game Settings tab within the emulator.

  • Click the “Apply/Synchronize Settings” button.

  • Click OK.

  • Navigate to the Controller 1 tab.

  • Click Save.

That’s it! You should now be able to play the game with your controller.
