Crash on startup/black screen
Before following any of these fixes, make sure the PC meets the minimum system requirements. Otherwise, the game will refuse to run.
General fixes
Follow these steps;
-Launch the game via SHMCD.exe.
-Optional: If there are still issues running the game, run the game in administrator mode (right-click the EXE and select Run as Administrator).
-Move all save files from the save game data location.
-Install/reinstall Microsoft .NET 4 Framework.
-Add SHMCD.exe to the antivirus exception list (if applicable).
