Solasta 2: How to Save Dying Allies – Death Saving Throws Explained

Solasta 2

Oh no, in Solasta 2, one of your heroes is being all dramatic and dying… don’t freak out, this guide will kinda make you chuckle while showing you how to save your fave hero from becoming permanent scenery (and avoid a demo game over).

How to help a dying ally in Solasta 2?

So if a character hits 0 HP, they go unconscious and start dying, but they ain’t dead yet… the best way to save a dying ally? Just heal them up to at least 1 HP, using Healing Potions, Spells or Powers.

Stabilizing a Dying Ally

You can also stabilize a dying ally, which is cool. A stable character:

Isn’t dying anymore, phew! But if they take any damage -> they’ll start dying again. They’re still at 0 HP and still unconscious though. To get a stable ally outta being unconscious, you gotta heal ’em up to at least 1 HP.

What if you don’t help a Dying ally?

If you just leave a dying ally hanging without healing or stabilizing them, they gotta roll a d20 at the start of each turn. It’s called a Death Saving Throw. If they roll a 10 or higher, they pass – otherwise they fail.

Get three passes, and they become stable. Get three fails, and they’re toast. And yeah, if any of your heroes die (in the demo only), it’s Game Over for you.

More about Death Saving Throws

If the dying ally rolls:

A 20? They get 1 HP back and are no longer dying.

A 1? Ouch that’s like two fails at once… if the dying ally takes any damage at all, they get a Death Saving Throw fail. If it’s from a critical hit? Two fails instead. Double ouch.

Instant Death

Yeah, you can totally die instantly from massive damage, no dying first. If damage takes you to 0 HP and there’s still a ton of damage left over – like, the leftover damage is equal to or more than your max HP – bam: instant death. Same thing if you’re unconscious and take damage that’s equal to or more than your max HP. Instant oof.
