There are many tameable animals in Roots of Pacha, with Mammoths being one of the most unique among them. To start taming animals in the game, simply interact with any animal. This will unlock the “Animal Friendship” idea. Give 10 Plant Fibers to Okka, and after a day, you’ll get the Flute tool, which is crucial for taming animals.
- Next, head to the Savannah region on your in-game map to find baby Mammoths. Look for a group of Mammoths with both adults and babies, but remember that you can only tame the baby ones.
- To tame a baby Mammoth, equip your Flute tool and approach one. You’ll start the attunement process, which is a rhythm game. Click when the white circles reach the inner circle. Successfully completing the game will earn you 2 progress points toward taming the baby Mammoth. Keep attuning until you have enough points, and then invite the baby Mammoth to join your village.
- Once you’ve fully attuned with a baby Mammoth, you’ll unlock the “Animal Taming” idea. Give 40 Wood and 30 Stone to Croll, and you’ll gain the ability to build Animal Barns. Construct an Animal Barn for your tamed Mammoth, and ensure it is fed daily by either allowing it to graze or by placing Plant Fiber in the feeders inside the barn.
- To strengthen your bond with your tamed Mammoth, interact with it often. At Friendship Level 2, you can ride your Mammoth. Keep accumulating Prosperity through offerings; once you reach over 10,000 points, the “Animal Riding” idea will be unlocked.
- Visit Okka and provide her with the necessary materials (Roots and Plant Fibers) to receive a mount/saddle for your Mammoth. Equip the saddle on your Mammoth, and you’ll be able to ride it as you explore the game world.
