How to Research a Spell

Heroes can use spells to ease their journeys, disclose secret information about their surroundings, and aid their soldiers or hurt their opponents in a fight. When all other factors are equal, magic can offer the crucial advantage to ensure campaign victory. To learn a spell, you must first:

 

  • Have a scroll with the relevant spell on it;

 

  • At the Mage School, look for the right kind of skill.

 

  • Have attained the appropriate degree of Arcane Knowledge.

 

Spells that have been researched can be upgraded to Rank 3. Upgrades, like research, need the right talent and Arcane Knowledge level.

 

Mana is used up while researching and improving spells.
