How to Swim in Mortal Online 2

You must have realized over the past couple of days that Mortal Online 2 doesn’t make things easy. The developers are determined to recreate every aspect of the real world into the game. While some find it refreshing, others not so much, but that has never stopped Star Vault AB from experimenting further, and this time, it’s all about swimming.

Swimming skills and specializations

Swimming is a secondary action skill located under the Survival skill.

To swim efficiently, you’ll need to level up both your Survival and Swimming.

There are three secondary skills under swimming, each specializing in a different field, all of which must be unlocked by reading a book.

Crawling – A fast swimming technique used mainly by the Alvarin and Khurite tribes.

Diving – Specialization in underwater diving and breathing control, which increases tolerance for apnea. Useful to pearl divers and spearfishermen.

Resistance Swimming – Allows you to swim in strong currents while carrying heavy equipment, reduces the buoyancy penalty when swimming with weights, and decreases the stamina cost while swimming by 0-75 percent.

What happens when you don’t learn to swim?

Without this skill, you can only swim naked and for short distances at a time.

Even small weights in your inventory will force your character to sink to the bottom. While underwater, you will take damage once your oxygen is exhausted. So not learning how to swim is fatal.

Swimming consumes stamina, and you’ll sink once you’re out of it. Make sure to stop swimming once in a while (if you’re swimming across large bodies of water) to regain a bit of stamina.
