How to Enable HDR in Aliens: Fireteam Elite

High-dynamic-range rendering (HDRR or HDR rendering), also known as high-dynamic-range lighting, renders computer graphics scenes utilizing high-dynamic-range lighting algorithms (HDR). This enables the retention of features that might otherwise be lost owing to limited contrast ratios. To enable HDR in Aliens: Fireteam Elite, follow these steps;

Go to the configuration file(s) location.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Endeavor\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

OpenEngine.ini

Add the following and save the file.

r.AllowHDR=1
r.HDR.EnableHDROutput=1
r.HDR.Display.OutputDevice=5
r.HDR.Display.ColorGamut=2
r.HDR.UI.CompositeMode=1
r.HDR.UI.Level=0.5

Notes

A game update will likely restore the files.

This will not work in Windowed or Borderless modes.
