Negotiating a contract

The first and most important rule when negotiating a contract is: NEVER agree to the first offer because it’s always overpriced, and every agent wants to get as much money from you as possible. Remember that your budget is always tight and you can’t afford to spend cash on left and right. When sending a counteroffer you must keep in mind the fact that now is the moment when the player will make the decision whether to move to your club or not, so try to offer reasonable prices, and not such ones that would discourage your soon-to-be-player.
