FIFA 22: How to Perform Directed Runs

Movement is perhaps the most important aspect of getting past the defense in FIFA 22. Players understand the importance of a strong defense. As a result, they should add special moves, such as directed runs, to their repertoire.

You can initiate Directed Runs by triggering a run behind the defense using L1/LB, or by calling a player to come short with R1/RB. You then flick the right stick in the desired direction to control the run’s path through 360 degrees. This allows you to manually control the direction of the AI attacker’s run. While this technique might seem straightforward, it requires a lot of practice to master.
