Crab Game Walkthrough Guide, Tips, and Tricks

3 31

Crab Game is a First-Person Multiplayer game in which you compete in many minigames modeled on children’s games for the ultimate cash prize until only one person remains to collect it all. If you’ve been living under a rock, Squid Game pits random strangers against each other in a dystopian version of children’s games like Red Light, Green Light, and Tug of War.

For many, it also has everything that makes a fantastic video game, particularly in the battle royale genre. While there hasn’t been an officially licensed game to date, Crab Game has taken its place.

Quick Preview:

Crab Game was published in late October on Steam, and it features two primary selling points: It’s essentially a multiplayer Squid Game, and it’s completely free. Players can join lobbies and play a variety of lethal playground-inspired battle royale activities, like red light/green light, which was featured in Squid Game. For example, in Crab Game, the show’s deadly glass bridge is a collection of cold stepping stones.

Up to 35 people compete in Crab Game, a series of competitive games in which they smack each other with bats, try to knock each other over cliffs, and race through grassy fields.

Crab game is inspired by the Netflix series “Squid Game,” where a group of people put a series of children’s games in a battle royal style, round system. Players that survive the first game are put into the next round. In the next round, it repeats until one player is left or all players are eliminated.

Prominent Maps and Modes – How to Progress Quickly

  • The PvP Mode:

This is the Mode of game modes and maps where players are expressly set up against each other. The PvP challenge has most of the ways of the game. These modes include:

  • Tag

  • Hide and seek

  • Bomb tag

  • Hat King

These modes are available on all of the following maps starting with two small maps, i.e., small playground and tiny town with the tag game mode. Tag mode is a simple model where a few players start with a stick and a red outline. These players are the ones that are currently tagged to tag another player. They must chase someone, catch up to them and eventually smack them with the stick to make that player a new tagger. This makes them safe until they are back to being tagged. Tag is an extended game mode with roughly two minutes of gameplay.

Bomb tag is much similar to tag mode, except in this Mode, players have a bomb that they have to pass on to another player, and after a certain period, the bomb explodes, eliminating the player who had it.

The two big maps of this Mode are funky field and blue line with the following game modes:

  • Hide and Seek

Hide and seek is more like run and seek. The game mode is based on a few random players who become seekers, and their objective is to eliminate other players by the end of the round or face elimination. If a seeker removes a player, he becomes a hider and can be eliminated by any remaining seekers.

The last two maps in this Mode are stand storm and lanky lava with the game mode hat king. The hat king is the reverse of all other game modes in the PVP mode. Here, the objective is to remain the king of the hat for a more extended period, build up the most points as the absolute beta modes with the least amount of time, and build up the most points at the end of the round.

Players versus Elements

This Mode is also known as the survival mode. Modes and maps are based upon the players trying to survive what the map throws at them. The group contains three ways and twelve maps.

  • Stepping Stone Mode

This Mode is based on the seventh episode of the squid game show where the contestants are forced to pick between two pieces of glass: the one that will bear their weight and the other that will crack under their weight and cause them to be eliminated.

This model has an astonishing six maps that can be played. The six maps consist of three short and three long maps based on the count of players. The main map is the glass jump based on the show islands, which is similar to the glass map except for this place above the ocean. The platform breaking results in a shivery and frozen elimination. The final model of this map is icy islands, an island where everything is covered with ice, resulting in a slippery surface.

  • Red Light Green Light

The next Mode is based on the first episode of squid game: red light green light and has three maps dessert. This map is a replica of the map in the show where there’s just a large empty area that you have to travel during the green light phases and stop entirely during the red-light stages. Moving your mouse to move your player’s camera does count as movement and will get you eliminated.

  • Floors Lava Mode

This mode has three maps; crusty rocks, ice rocks, and lava lake.  The gameplay of this Mode is similar to stepping stone mode except that instead of trying it to make from one place to another, the only land available is a platform. They randomly fall throughout the round forcing players to stay focused and be prepared to jump forum at any given moment or be eliminated.

The lava lake and crusty maps are almost identical apart from the color scheme change. But the icy rock map is the repeat of the last Mode, where the icy map reduces friction and makes the whole Mode harder to get past now.

Tips & Tricks

  • When you run and jump diagonally, your character will gain speed and, as a result, will be able to reach further distances. (Shift + Space + W + A) or (Shift + Space + W + D)

  • You can use this technique to get onto ladders faster and be launched by them at the end.

  • To slide on the ground indefinitely, press the following key combinations while running diagonally (Shift + W + A + Crouch) or (Shift + W + D + Crouch)

  • To use voice chat, press V.

  • We do not recommend using other players as human shields. It shouldn’t be necessary, and it brings you closer to other players who may stumble you if they fall in front of you.

Final Thoughts:

Crab game is fun and gives you a few minimum hours of fun with either your friends in a private lobby or just a bunch of random people in a public lobby. This game is free on steam.
