Chivalry 2 – How to Fix No Sound Issue

If your game has no audio or has partial audio meaning that some sections of the game have audio while cutscenes or different elements do not have any audio, it means that your audio driver is misconfigured or outdated. Try updating your audio driver however if the problem still persists, disable Windows Sonic for Headphones. This has been working for a lot of players around the world.

You can also check the configuration of your sound in the Control Panel to ensure that the correct settings are in place. Sometimes the audio setting might be out of place which might be causing you to hear only partial sounds of the game.

Sound mixers are another important feature of Windows OS. They allow the user to change the individual sound levels from different applications as well instead of controlling the sound system-wide. It may be possible that accidentally, you have lowered the volume of Chivalry 2 and hence there is no sound coming. Here is the step on how to make sure that the sound mixer is set correctly for Chivalry 2.

  • Launch Chivalry 2 as an administrator. Also, launch another application in the background.

  • Once inside the game, alt-tab to the other application (or press Windows + D) to go to the Desktop.

  • Once on the Desktop, right-click on the sound icon and click Open Volume Mixer.

  • Now, make sure that Chivalry 2 volume is at its full. Save changes and exit. Now alt-tab back into the game and see if the issue is resolved for good.

Also, Make sure that you have the latest sound drivers from the manufacturers’ website. Here are some links to popular manufacturer websites:

I’ve done everything: updating with the latest sound drivers, trying some third party audio software, opening the volume mixer and other settings, everything is perfect with other games and apps on my pc, except Chivalry II, can’t find a clue. I’m using bluetooth headphones.

Have you tried checking your headphones are selecting as the default sound device in your Windows sound settings? This was the problem for me

Yo that worked for me!! Thank you. I use Bose QC 35 ii and my pc had it as the default device but under the label ‘Headset’. Underneath that is the same thing but labeled ‘Headphones’ and it works.
