FAQ: Questions You Might Have

How can I play Bannerlord Online?

You must have the official game (Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord) first. Then you can download Bannerlord Online from the link below;

https://www.moddb.com/mods/bannerlord-online

Will it be possible to create/combine into a separate Kingdom and arrange PvP between the kingdoms?

Player, who is a member of a clan, will be able to capture the city or castle. After this, it will be possible to establish your kingdom or join an existing one.

If one player enters the battle, will the game world still run in the background and therefore will allow multiple battles to happen at the same time?

The world is not “frozen” when one of the players enters the battle. The rest of the units continue to travel around the map, participate in other battles, work in settlements, etc. You can join the battle in progress at any time. (5 units on the side of the attackers and 5 units on the side of the defenders max.)

How does the multiplayer aspect operate? Will it be similar to SkyrimTogether (mix of public and private servers)? Does the mod have its own dedicated launcher?

There is a special launcher to start the mod and update it to the current version. Players are authorized and the game is launched through the launcher.

Does this mod support other mods?

No, the launcher only launches the game with the mods, which are necessary for online performance. However, Bannerlord Online team will be able to adapt most of the mods released for the singleplayer version of the game, if their creators agree and if mods do not violate the general concept of the online game.

One of the major problems with Bannerlord campaign co-op is how battles/scenes will work. Will this mod bypass that by having the players all in one party, or some other way to solve the problem?

Each battle is divided into waves. At the beginning of each wave, parts of the units of the attacking and defending sides appear in proportion to the number of all combat-ready participants in the battle. After the completed victory of one of the parties in the wave, a new wave begins, in which all units that haven’t previously participated or survived in previous waves take part. If during any wave a new squad joins the battle, then its units will appear at the beginning of the next wave. The battle ends if there aren’t any combat-ready units of one of the parties left.

The wave mechanism is designed to avoid a high load due to a large number of units, forcibly limiting their maximum number on the battlefield (approximately, up to 300 units in each wave), as well as for the additional balance of the sides.

How does the money system work?

Each player pays a salary to his squad from his own funds. Payments are made every game day (real hour), even if the player is offline.

Is there an opportunity for other players to spectate battles? (Spectator mode)

No.

Will multiple groups be able to enter the bandits’ hideouts? Could one player be nominated to fight the boss in a duel?

The bandits’ hideouts become visible for each unit separately.

Different units will not be able to enter each other’s cover. However, in the city, you can unite with other squads of players in the army by appointing a commander who will control the movement of this army across the global map and, finding the bandits’ hideouts, all members of the army will join the battle. A similar mechanic applies to the performance of quest tasks to destroy bandits, escort a caravan, etc.

How will the mod fit the ever-changing state of the game? Many mods were abandoned due to constant updates, will you keep an eye on this, because people want to see this mod in the long term, as an integral part of all other mods?

The launch of the game with the mod takes place through the special launcher. The launcher can automatically download the mod for the current version of the game on Steam/Epic Games Store. Every time TaleWorlds releases a new version of the game, it takes Bannerlord Online team some time to update the mod to make it workable. This information will be published in the launcher.

Will it be possible to exchange resources/equipment with my friends? How will it work?

Players will be able to exchange items, resources, and troops through the barter window. The exchange function is only available in settlements.
